The Emergency Channel established within Unifarm, in compliance with legal provisions and free competition, is a concrete, pragmatic, and concise way to ensure the continuity of treatment for Romanian patients.

The Emergency Channel operates throughout Romania and includes both public and/or private hospitals as well as the retail area (pharmacies). Unifarm, a legal entity of strategic interest to the Romanian State, guarantees through this mechanism that each medicine reaches the patient for whom it is intended.

The Emergency Channel is intended only for those medicines that are not available to patients in sufficient quantities due to production or commercial reasons. The Emergency Channel is an optional additional channel made available to companies in the healthcare sector (manufacturers, pharmacies, hospitals) to satisfy a public interest. It represents an adjacent way to ensure the necessary medicines in case of molecule/treatment shortages, being an additional option for healthcare enterprises.

The Emergency Channel delivers essential medicines to Romanian patients in a short time, based on justified orders (according to the provisions of art. 1 lit. b of Order MS no. 269/2017) regarding the obligation to ensure adequate and continuous stocks of medicines and operating through a call-service and dedicated specialist staff.

Through justified orders, the identity of the patients is not revealed, only the prescribed medication and the diagnosis code;

The distribution price of the medicines is the one legislated, approved, and published in CANAMED, with no additional costs for the pharmacy, hospital, or patient.

  6. Send the above documents correctly and completely filled out, by email, to the address: canaldeurgență@unifarm.ro;
  7. You will be contacted as soon as possible by Unifarm representatives.
